Here at Nudge we’re looking for a team member to join us, as our web designer / developer.
The role is dual-faceted; You will be leading the user experience, interface design and development for all of our in-house built websites. This requires an understanding of user pain points, basic user journeys, best practice design approaches and the ability to transform all of that into an elegant and working website. Not only that, you will offer clients web solutions that stand out from the basic ol’ template and possess the ability to actively input into a tight-knit team in our Dowling Street office – working with clients across NZ.
You’ll be involved with day-to-day operations, process improvements and strategic direction specific to web and the efficient delivery of our sites. In terms of development software, we have been working primarily with Webflow, which streamlines a site from design through to delivery. Familiarity with Webflow is necessary to take on maintenance and optimisation of the majority of our existing websites.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Create sleek website layouts and user interfaces by using standard HTML5/CSS/JS practices
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
- Maintaining, expanding, and scaling our own Nudge website
- Staying plugged into emerging technologies and trends, and applying them into our operations
- Work with other members of the team to deliver well considered and collaborative products
- Maintain the creative direction and goals for web projects ensuring they fit the client, brand and business objectives
As the right fit, you will need:
- Proven working experience in responsive web design and development
- Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML5/CSS, JavaScript or equivalent frameworks
- Hands-on experience with domains, MX records and implementation and set up of analytics tools
- Ability to learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques

Agency experience is not essential however you’ll need to be open to understanding project profitability through task estimation and time tracking.
